Fluid resuscitation plays a central role in
restoring intravascular volume and improving cardiac preload in patients with
hypovolemic or distributive shock. However, careful assessment and monitoring
are essential to avoid fluid overload and exacerbation of existing conditions
such as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) or congestive heart failure.
Vasopressor agents, such as norepinephrine or vasopressin, may be administered
